Privacy Policy

All People’s Church (APC) Food Hub respects the privacy of all our staff, those who volunteer with us, our partners and sponsors and those we serve in our community through our weekly and special outreach initiatives. Our commitment is to protect and keep personal information confidential, factually accurate and safeguard privacy. APC Food Hub does not share its distribution list with other entities for the purpose of profit or otherwise, or for any other purposes.

Consistent with the foregoing, APC Food Hub is committed to adhering to, upholding and abiding by the 10 fair information principles prescribed by The Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada under The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA)– https://www.priv.gc.ca/en/privacy-topics/privacy-laws-in-canada/the-personal-information-protection-and-electronic-documents-act-pipeda/p_principle/.

As such, we commit to:

  1. Accountability: To be responsible for personal information in our custody and to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.
  2. Identify Purposes: To clearly identify and disclose the reason(s) for which we collect information from you.
  3. Consent: The collection, utilization and disclosure of personal information is only done with the permission of the individual(s) or entities providing such information.
  4. Limiting collection: We collect information only as is necessary and in keeping with the purpose(s) expressed by us at the collection of such information.
  5. Limiting Use, Disclosure, and Retention: Without personal consent or unless the law requires it, personal information will only be used in a manner consistent with the reason(s) for which it was collected. Retention of such information will not extend beyond a period necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected.
  6. Accuracy: We endeavour to keep information factually correct, current and complete, so as to fulfil the purposes for the use of personal information collected.
  7. Safeguards: We protect personal information collected by safeguarding it in a manner that respects the sensitivity of such information.
  8. Openness: APC Food Hub will disclose on request, information concerning our policies and procedures that govern our management of your personal information.
  9. Individual Access: Upon your request we permit access to your personal information.
  10. Challenging Compliance: Privacy concerns to APC Food Hub can be addressed or directed to the designated Officer – Community Outreach Pastor with oversight and responsibility for APC Food Hub or his designate. Concerns will be addressed in a timely, thorough and fair manner, with appropriate actions taken to remediate.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Embedded content from other websites

Who we share your data with

APC Food Hub will not transfer or share client data with any external organizations under any circumstances, including with the individual’s consent. If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

Data Sharing:
• Customer data is not shared with 3rd parties for promotional or marketing purposes.
• Mobile opt-in and consent are never shared with anyone for any purpose. Any information sharing that may be mentioned elsewhere in this policy excludes mobile opt-in data.

Messaging Terms and Conditions:
All People’s Church will send messages related to the Food Hub, including information about free weekly groceries, special community outreach events, answering customer questions, and conversational messaging. The frequency and types of messages, as well as disclosures about message and data rates, help, and opt-out instructions, are provided at the point of opt-in. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. For assistance, help and opt-out instructions are disclosed during the opt-in process. Customer can Text HELP for help or Text STOP to unsubscribe.

No mobile opt-in information is shared with third parties. 

By providing your phone number and agreeing to receive texts, you consent to receive text messages from All People’s Church, from 437-317-9517 regarding customer care. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message & data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time or HELP for assistance. How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
